Prizren is a vibrant town with approximately 90,000 residents, renowned as an open-air museum and widely regarded as one of the most picturesque towns in Kosovo. Nestled on the slopes of the Sharr Mountains and along the banks of the Bistrica River, Prizren boasts a rich historical legacy. Its strategic location established it as a significant trading hub, with ancient routes connecting the Adriatic coast to the interior of the Balkan Peninsula passing through the town. The Prizren valley has been inhabited since ancient times, with evidence of Illyrian settlements. The city is referenced as Theranda in the 2nd century A.D. and as Petrizên in the 5th century A.D. by Procopius of Caesarea.
