Prizren is a dynamic town with a population of approximately 90,000 residents, distinguished as an open-air museum and recognized as one of the most picturesque destinations in Kosovo. The town has served as a crossroads for ancient trade routes linking the Adriatic coast to the interior of the Balkan Peninsula. The Prizren valley has been continuously inhabited since antiquity, with archaeological evidence of Illyrian settlements. The city is mentioned in Roman records from the 2nd century A.D. under the name Theranda, and later in the 5th century A.D. as Petrizên by Procopius of Caesarea.
