Shkodra is one of the oldest cities in the Balkan Peninsula and once served as the capital of the former Illyrian Empire. The city boasts a stunning landscape characterized by the Albanian Alps to the north, Shkodra Lake, and the Buna, Drini, and Kir rivers, creating a striking contrast of natural colors. During the Ottoman period, Shkodra was the capital of the Iskodra Vilayet, and today it stands as the most important city in Northern Albania. Our city tour includes a visit to the renowned Marubi Photography Museum, followed by an exploration of the historic Castle of Rosafa, where you will learn about the legend of Rozafa and visit the museum located within the castle. From the top of Rozafa Castle, guests can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, Shkodra Lake, and the Drini, Buna, and Kir rivers with their picturesque valleys. Optional boat tours are available upon request. The experience concludes with lunch in Shiroka, offering a beautiful view of Shkodra Lake.
