The National History Museum is the premier destination for comprehensive information on Albania’s communist regime. The museum features a dedicated hall that provides an in-depth overview of the communist dictatorship in Albania, beginning with the emergence of communism during World War II, its full implementation, and the impact on society, including prisons, political trials, capital punishment, and the construction of bunkers. The exhibition continues through to the first democratic protests and the eventual establishment of democracy in the 1990s. Our walking tour covers all major attractions in Tirana, with opportunities to visit Bunkart 2 and the Museum of Secret Services "Shtepia e Gjetheve," among other significant sites.
